Registration begins at 8:00 AM CDT on June 2, 2020 (8:00 a.m. CDT) and ends July 8, 2020 (8:00 a.m. CDT).
- Selections for each zone will be held at 12:00 PM CDT on the second Wednesday of July. Selection results will be posted immediately thereafter and applicants can check their selection status on the same website in which they registered.
- Selected applicant's acceptance is required by 8:00 AM CDT on the third Wednesday of July.
You will need your Conservation ID and date of birth to gain access to your registrations and selection status.
Who can apply?
Only residents and Lifetime License holders of the State of Alabama who are 16 years of age or older may apply for an Alligator Possession Tag (see License Requirements). Non-residents may only participate as alligator hunting assistants (see License Requirements). All persons in the boat must have a hunting license.
Hunters will be allowed to register only one time per zone. The cost to apply per zone is $22. Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover accepted. Application fees are not refundable.
What do I need?
You must have a valid Conservation ID and email address to receive confirmation of your application.
You must complete the online Alligator Training Course prior to accepting your hunter or alternate status.
