After all regional tournaments are complete, a link will be placed above with the list of Team Invitations in each Tier. Tier I registration will be March 17th at 7:00 AM. Tier 2 registration will begin Thursday March 18th at 7:00 AM and Tier 3 registration will begin Thursday March 19th at 7:00 AM. Tier 3 teams are not guaranteed flight positions.
We will also place a link to individuals who were in the top 20 statewide for their division, but whose teams did not earn an invite in Tier 1 or 2. Those individuals will be invited to attend and will register with the Tier 1 registrants.
This year's event is April 2-3, 2020 at the Montgomery Multiplex.
The Montgomery Multiplex is located at 220 Hall Street, Montgomery, Al 36104. (behind Crampton Bowl on Madison Avenue). From Madison Avenue, you can turn at the Montgomery Farmer's Market and you will see a huge parking lot. Turn there or go to Hall Street (Intersection of Madison and Hall).
Pre-registration for the Alabama State NASP Championship will begin on March 2nd, 2020. Registration will begin on March 17th, 2020. The drop by date will be March 25th. Schools will have to pay for the number of flight positions reserved as of that date. We have too many schools dropping students at the last minute and taking opportunities away from other students who would like to come to state.
*State Invites - The percentage of schools competing in each Division at the eight Regional Tournaments determines the number of schools invited to attend State from each Division. Last year the breakdown was 30% Elementary School, 40% Middle School and 30% High School teams. There are flight positions for the 75 full teams and invited individuals.
All schools will be ranked by their scores in their Division after all eight regional events are held. The top ten schools in each Division will be designated as Tier I and allowed to register on the first day of registration. Using the percentage example above, the next highest-ranking teams will be designated as Tier 2 and allowed to register on day 2 of registration. Any remaining schools after that will be designated as Tier 3 and allowed to register beginning on day 3 on a space available first come first serve basis.
The top 20 males and females for each division will be eligible to register as individuals in Tier 1. Note: Many of the top 20 individuals will already be on a Tier 1 or 2 team, only those individuals in the top 20 who are not on a Tier 1 or Tier 2 team will earn an individual invitation.
It is important for everyone to be pre-registered prior to the opening of registration so that your Tier may be set. You cannot register until your Tier is set.
Flight Times - If you have students that need to share a bow, they will need to shoot on different flights. Some loaner bows will be available on a first come first serve basis.
