Out of an abundance of caution to limit the possible spread of the coronavirus COVID-19, the National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP) Alabama State Championship scheduled for April 2-3, 2020, at the Multiplex at Cramton Bowl in Montgomery, Alabama, has been cancelled.
The decision to cancel the event was made by the City of Montgomery and the Alabama Division of Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries as part of an ongoing effort to ensure the health and wellness of the public as Alabama aggressively fights to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The event organizers apologize for the inconvenience this has caused student archers, their parents, coaches and vendors. A plan for advancement to the NASP national championship has been developed was emailed to NASP coaches.
State and National Information
The results from all 8 Regional Tournaments were compiled to give State Rankings. Results are posted in the files below. State trophies will be awarded based on these scores. These scores will also be used by NASP to determine your registration tier for Nationals. Please pre-register for Nationals if you have any idea you may wish to attend.
153 teams attended a regional, with 32% being Elementary Schools, 41% Middle Schools and 27% High Schools. State invitations would have been extended by the Tier ranking on the rankings document.
