Pike County Public Fishing Lake Temporarily Closed Dec. 23

The Alabama Division of Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries (WFF) will temporarily close Pike County Public Fishing Lake near Troy, Alabama, for maintenance beginning December 23, 2020. The lake is expected to be closed for four to six weeks.

During the closure, water levels at the lake will be lowered approximately 6 feet in an effort to control excessive aquatic plant growth around the bank fishing areas. The lake will be reopened for fishing when the water level reaches full pool.
