Get Your Bearings I—Learn the basics of map and compass. Feel comfortable enough in the woods to venture off the trails to experience those "wild places." Have an exciting hands-on experience. This is always one of our most popular courses. Note: Since hiking is involved, comfortable hiking shoes are suggested.
Get Your Bearings II - GYB2 is an advanced level orienteering course. You must be able to know how to use a compass, read a map, and keep distance by pacing. Also, you must be physically fit enough to walk 1 mile through dense woods on uneven terrain. This course will take place entirely in the woods, rain or shine, so dress accordingly. Prerequisite: Get Your Bearings I
Geocaching—Sometimes referred to as "high-tech treasure hunting," geocaching is one of the fastest growing outdoor activities. GPS receivers are provided for participants, but you may also bring your own. This class involves about a mile of walking. Note: Only offered in March Session
