Applied Turkey Management Workshop: Habitat and Trapping

Throughout our history, wild turkeys have always been one of the most sought-after game birds in Alabama. Due to unregulated hunting and habitat loss, populations across the U.S. reached an all-time low in the early 1900s. Since then, wild turkey populations have recovered through conservation efforts, but habitat availability and quality continue to be limiting factors throughout much of their distribution. Join us and learn how to enhance your property for the wild turkey.
