The NASP Alabama IBO/3D State Championship is an offshoot of the popular Alabama NASP State Championship, which takes place in Montgomery, Ala., on April 4-5, 2019. While similar to standard target archery, what sets 3D archery apart is the use of animal-shaped targets.

Scoring is based on Olympic-style, target archery in three divisions – elementary, middle and high school. Competition is on team and individual levels. Perfect scores are 3,600 points for teams and 300 for individuals.

The Alabama Division of Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries (WFF) coordinated event was held at the Cullman Civic Center on March 22-23, in cooperation with the Cullman parks and recreation department.
